Butter Swim Biscuit Cinnamon Rolls

Directions

  1. 1Add two and a half cups of flour, a quarter cup of brown sugar, a tablespoon of baking powder, and one and a half tablespoons of ground cinnamon to a mixing bowl.
  2. 2Whisk the dry ingredients together.
  3. 3Add two cups of heavy cream and a teaspoon of vanilla to the dry ingredients.
  4. 4Mix until a big ball of sticky biscuit dough forms.
  5. 5Set the dough aside.
  6. 6Melt one stick of butter and pour it into an 8x8 baking dish.
  7. 7Place the ball of dough on top of the melted butter in the baking dish.
  8. 8Spread the dough out in the baking dish.
  9. 9Pre-cut the biscuits in the dish.
  10. 10Bake in the oven at 450 degrees for about 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and passes the toothpick test.
  11. 11Let the cinnamon rolls cool off.
  12. 12While cooling, make the icing by combining one and a half cups of powdered sugar, three tablespoons of melted butter, a teaspoon of vanilla, and about two tablespoons of heavy cream.
  13. 13Whisk the icing ingredients together until smooth.
  14. 14Drizzle or spread the icing over the cooled cinnamon roll biscuits.
