Directions

  1. 1Squeeze out excess liquid from the extra firm tofu. You can press it between two things, use a kitchen towel, or a tofu press.
  2. 2Tear the tofu into pieces rather than cutting it into cubes, as this method is said to make it crispier.
  3. 3Season the tofu with sesame oil, olive oil, Sriracha, soy sauce, garlic powder, and cornstarch.
  4. 4Cook the seasoned tofu in an air fryer at 390 degrees for 10 minutes, then shake and assess if more cooking time is needed.
  5. 5Prepare the spicy peanut sauce by combining natural peanut butter, soy sauce, Sriracha, sesame oil, garlic powder, rice vinegar, maple syrup (or brown sugar/other sweetener), ginger, and garlic.
  6. 6Add some warm water to the sauce ingredients to help them blend.
  7. 7Sauté the vegetables, including bell pepper, green onion, and broccoli, in a pan.
  8. 8Pour a little peanut sauce over the cooked tofu and toss.
  9. 9Assemble the bowls with brown rice as the base, then add the sautéed vegetables, crispy tofu, and additional green onion and Sriracha.
