Directions

  1. 1Add chicken, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, and pepper to a bowl.
  2. 2Let the chicken marinate for 5 minutes while you heat a skillet with oil or cooking spray.
  3. 3Add chicken in a single layer to the hot skillet and cook over medium heat for about 3 minutes until dark and caramelized.
  4. 4Flip the chicken and cook for another 2 minutes until cooked through.
  5. 5Remove the chicken from the pan.
  6. 6Add the leftover marinade and brown sugar to the skillet and stir until dissolved.
  7. 7Turn the heat to high and bring the sauce to a bubble.
  8. 8Mix cornstarch and water until smooth, then stir this mixture into the sauce.
  9. 9Reduce heat to low and let the sauce thicken for about 30 seconds.
  10. 10Add the cooked chicken back into the pan and toss to coat with the sauce.
  11. 11Serve with rice and veggies.

  • 1 tbs cornstarch
  • 0.25 cup water

Tips

  • If using two pounds of chicken, double the sauce recipe.
  • Serve with rice and whatever vegetables you have.
