Start with small potatoes, either B-sized potatoes, Yukon golds, or red potatoes.
Peel some or all of the potatoes. Cut them a little smaller or leave them whole.
Give the potatoes a pinch of kosher salt and a handful of garlic cloves.
Cover potatoes with water and put them on the stove.
Once the potatoes are cooked, strain and let them cool just enough to handle.
Drizzle the potatoes with enough olive oil to coat, then add a pinch of kosher salt, a pinch of black pepper if you like, and a couple sprigs of rosemary.
Toss the potatoes.
Transfer the oiled potatoes into a saute pan or casserole dish.
Press the potatoes into the pan.
Lay Italian sausage links right on top of the potatoes.
Place in a 375 degree oven for about 20 to 30 minutes or until the potatoes are nice and crispy and the internal temperature of the sausage hits about 150 degrees fahrenheit.
