1For the crust, combine 2/3 cup of melted and cooled butter, 2/3 cup of brown sugar, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and 1 egg
2Combine these ingredients together
3Whisk 1 cup of flour with 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder
4Add that flour to your wet ingredients
5Combine these together and transfer to the bottom of your 8 by 8 prepared pan
6Press the crust firmly into the bottom and make sure it extends to reach all the corners
7Set that to the side
8Make the middle layer by combining 2 cups of shredded coconut and one can of sweetened condensed milk
9Add a teaspoon of vanilla extract
10Combine the coconut and the sweetened condensed milk together
11Once combined get that second layer on top
12Spread this around and make sure all of the crust is covered
13Bake into the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
14Let these fully cool in their pan on a wire cooling rack
15Make the delicious chocolate frosting with 1/4 cup of softened butter, 2 cups of powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons of milk, 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder and a healthy splash of vanilla extract
16Scrape of a bowl down well and make sure that base is entirely cool
17Add the frosting
18Cut the squares
19Store them in an airtight container or a ziploc bag in the refrigerator

Tips
Keep milk nearby, as you might need to add an extra teaspoon or two to the chocolate frosting
Chill in the fridge for at least an hour or a couple of hours before cutting
