Crockpot Butter Chicken

Directions

  1. 1Welcome back to the Croctober Block Party where we don't cook anything on the stove top first, it's all going straight in.
  2. 2Add about a pound and a half of chicken breast cut up into bite-sized pieces to the bottom of the crock pot.
  3. 3Spread the chicken out in an even layer.
  4. 4Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  5. 5Add some dried minced onion.
  6. 6Add one bag of California style vegetable mix.
  7. 7Pour a 29-ounce can of tomato sauce into a measuring cup (or two 15-ounce cans).
  8. 8Fill the tomato sauce can halfway up with heavy cream.
  9. 9Whisk the heavy cream into the tomato sauce.
  10. 10Sprinkle one package of butter chicken seasoning mix over the top of the chicken and vegetables.
  11. 11Mix the second package of butter chicken seasoning mix into the tomato sauce and heavy cream mixture.
  12. 12Pour the tomato sauce mixture over the ingredients in the crockpot.
  13. 13Cover the crockpot and cook for 3 to 4 hours on high or 6 to 8 hours on low.
  14. 14Stir the cooked butter chicken.
  15. 15Serve over rice or with naan bread.
