Directions

  1. 1Peel and grate your onion into a puree and throw it into a blender or food processor.
  2. 2Add the mince, yogurt, olive oil and all the seasonings. Blend until fully combined.
  3. 3Split the mixture into two portions. Lay out some baking paper, add half the mixture on top, place another sheet of baking paper over it.
  4. 4Press it down, then roll it out with a rolling pin until it’s thin.
  5. 5Remove the top baking paper and roll the meat up tightly.
  6. 6Repeat with the second half of the mixture.
  7. 7Place both rolls on a tray and cook in the oven at 180°C for 20 to 25 minutes.
  8. 8Once cooked, unwrap, slice, load it up in your flatbread with your sauces and salad.
  9. 9Enjoy!

  • 500 g lamb or beef mince
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Flatbread or pita
  • Chilli sauce
  • Garlic sauce
  • Lettuce
  • Red onion
  • Cucumber

Tips

  • There will be a lot of fat that renders out from the meat. If you like, you can just pour it out.
  • You want it nice and thin when rolling it out.
