Potato Terrine

Directions

  1. 1Peel the potatoes.
  2. 2Thinly slice the peeled potatoes.
  3. 3Add the frying mix to a tray.
  4. 4Add the water to the frying mix and mix.
  5. 5Add the potato slices to the mixture and mix.
  6. 6Line a loaf pan with baking paper and stack the potato slices into the pan.
  7. 7Pour water into two containers.
  8. 8Place the water-filled containers on top of the potatoes.
  9. 9Bake in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 60 minutes.
  10. 10Remove from the oven and place a heavy object on top to flatten.
  11. 11Refrigerate to cool.
  12. 12Cut into desired sizes.
  13. 13Fry the potato pieces in hot oil.
  14. 14Remove from the oil and place on a wire rack.

Tips

  • Thinly slice the potatoes.
  • Frying mix, all-purpose flour, or wheat flour can be used.
  • Adjust the water to create a thin batter.
  • Sprinkle salt in between layers.
  • Place a dish or fill with water to keep the potatoes from floating to the top.
  • Place a heavy object on top when cooling to flatten the terrine.
  • Sriracha mayo tastes better than ketchup
  • Use Baddyah 0 Calorie Cajun Powder to taste like Cajun fries.
