Triple Cream Irish Mashed Potatoes

Directions

  1. 1Peel and cube six russet potatoes into an 8-quart pot.
  2. 2Add enough water to cover the potatoes by at least three inches.
  3. 3Add two tablespoons of salt.
  4. 4Bring potatoes to a boil and let them cook until fork-tender.
  5. 5Drain all the water from the potatoes using a colander.
  6. 6Add the drained potatoes back into the pot and place it on low heat to dry out some of the moisture.
  7. 7While the potatoes are drying, add one stick of butter, an 8-ounce block of cream cheese, 8 ounces of sour cream, one teaspoon of garlic powder, Flavor Time Southern Seasoning, salt, black pepper, and 8 ounces of heavy cream to a pan.
  8. 8Stir the mixture on medium-low heat until everything is incorporated and smooth.
  9. 9Add all the potatoes to the sauce.
  10. 10Use an electric mixer to mash the potatoes until completely smooth.

Tips

  • For mashed potatoes, make sure they are fork-tender so that with pressure, they fall apart.
  • Make sure to dry out some of the moisture from the potatoes by putting them on low heat.
