25-min. Easy Mongolian Chicken

Directions

  1. 1Make a cornstarch slurry by combining cornstarch and water. Mix well.
  2. 2Coat diced chicken thighs with cornstarch.
  3. 3Heat neutral oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  4. 4Add the coated chicken to the pan, spreading pieces apart.
  5. 5Fry chicken on each side until golden and crispy.
  6. 6Remove the fried chicken and set aside.
  7. 7In the same pan, on medium heat, add ginger, garlic, and red chili. Fry for 10 seconds.
  8. 8Add hsin sauce, regular soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil to the pan.
  9. 9Mix in the cornstarch slurry.
  10. 10Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  11. 11Add the fried chicken to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  12. 12Serve hot, garnished with green onions and red chili.
