Directions

  1. 1Chop 9 ounces of bacon.
  2. 2Cook the chopped bacon in a pot until crispy.

  6. 6Chop five medium russet potatoes into half-moon, bite-sized pieces.
  7. 7Sauté one small onion in the same pot where the meat was cooked.
  8. 8Add minced garlic to the sautéed onions.
  9. 9Add 4 cups of kale to the pot with the onions and garlic, making sure to remove the bitter pieces from the kale.
  10. 10Once the vegetables have sweated down, add half a cup of flour and cook for a couple of minutes.
  11. 11Pour in 4 cups of chicken broth and bring to a boil until it starts to thicken.
  12. 12Pour in 1 1/2 cups of heavy whipping cream.
