Hot Honey Chicken Sliders

Directions

  1. 1Introduce lots of corn starch to flour.
  2. 2Season with sweet heat rub.
  3. 3Add a little baking powder.
  4. 4Cover chicken thighs with seasoned flour and let them dry out.
  5. 5Add one scoop of the seasoned flour into a large bowl.
  6. 6Crack two eggs into the bowl.
  7. 7Add a generous amount of hot sauce.
  8. 8Add some plain sparkling water. The mixture should be slightly on the thicker side.
  9. 9Melt a little butter in a pan.
  10. 10Add some cayenne pepper. When it starts to foam up, kill the heat.
  11. 11Go in with lots of honey.
  12. 12Squeeze in a little lemon and a little orange.
  13. 13Dip chicken thigh into the wet batter.
  14. 14Dip the chicken only one time into the dry mixture.
  15. 15Fry in hot oil set at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. They will need 7 to 10 minutes, depending on their thickness.
  16. 16Hit the slider rolls with some garlic parsley and butter.
  17. 17Broil the rolls in the oven.
  18. 18Assemble each slider with a little bit of spicy mayo, a couple of pickles, and the hot honey glazed chicken.

Tips

  • This batter is different than the chicken tender recipe.
  • If your chicken thighs are too big, slice them in half.
  • If you use hot sauce instead of cayenne pepper for the hot honey, it might turn into a buffalo sauce.
  • Only fry one time into our dry.
  • They will need 7 to 10 minutes to cook, depending on their thickness.
  • If you put this hot honey on a flip-flop, it'll taste good.
