Directions

  1. 1Add olive oil to a pot on the stove.
  2. 2Add fresh basil to the pot.
  3. 3Open the Jin Ramen package and retrieve the dehydrated vegetables and soup powder packets.
  4. 4Add the dehydrated vegetables packet to the pot.
  5. 5Add the soup powder packet to the pot and fry it up.
  6. 6Add tomato sauce to the pot and let it simmer for a bit.
  7. 7Add two cups of water to the pot.
  8. 8Separate one egg yolk from the egg white into a small bowl.
  9. 9Grate fresh Parmigiano Reggiano into the egg yolk and mix vigorously.
  10. 10Once the broth is simmering, add the ramen noodles to the pot.
  11. 11Ladle some of the broth from the pot into the egg yolk mixture and vigorously mix to temper the egg yolk.
  12. 12Add the egg white to the simmering ramen and mix it in.
  13. 13When the egg white is set, add the tempered egg yolk mixture to the ramen.
  14. 14Grate one clove of garlic directly into the ramen.
  15. 15Grate more Parmigiano Reggiano into the ramen.
  16. 16Add a drizzle of olive oil, a knob of butter, and a fresh basil leaf to finish the ramen.
