  3. 3In a separate bowl, add flour, salt, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and white granulated sugar.
  4. 4Whisk the dry ingredients together.
  5. 5In another bowl, add a large egg, vanilla extract, and whisk them.
  6. 6Add milk and melted butter to the egg mixture and whisk until combined.
  7. 7Pour the flour mixture into the wet ingredients and stir until a batter forms.
  8. 8Add the apple chunks to the batter and stir to combine.
  9. 9Heat cooking oil in a pot to 3500F (1760C) over medium-high heat.
  10. 10Scoop the apple fritter batter into the hot oil using a spoon and fry until golden brown.
  11. 11Remove the fritters from the oil using a skimmer and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  12. 12After draining, transfer the fritters to a wire rack to cool.
  13. 13To make the glaze, combine water and powdered sugar in a bowl and mix until smooth.
  14. 14Dip each apple fritter into the glaze.
