Directions
1
Get your skillet over medium heat and drop in 3 tablespoons of butter. Once that melts, drop in 3 tablespoons of flour.
2
Stir together to make your roux. Once it starts to brown, pour in 2 cups of chicken broth.
3
Keep stirring until it starts to thicken and everything is incorporated. Then throw in the seasonings.
4
Take a pound of chicken breast and season it on both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic.
5
Place the chicken into the gravy, using a spoon to get it all covered up.
6
Let it come to a simmer, throw that lid on, lower the heat, and let it cook for 12–15 minutes.
7
Make yourself some boxed or homemade mashed potatoes.
8
Pull the lid off and shred up the chicken using two forks right in the pan.
9
Stir everything together, lay out a big pile of mashed potatoes and cover with the chicken and gravy.
