Asian Beef and Rice Bowls

Directions

  1. 1Rinse rice and add three cups of beef bone broth; cook in a rice cooker until tender.
  2. 2Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add one tablespoon of salt; boil green beans for 3-5 minutes until tender.
  3. 3Remove green beans from boiling water and add to ice water for 5 minutes to stop cooking process; dry green beans and cut in half.
  4. 4In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, honey, white pepper, red chili flakes, and cornstarch; mix well and set aside.
  5. 5Set a wok or pan on high heat and brown two pounds of lean ground beef; remove beef and drain out the fat.
  6. 6Sauté minced garlic and ginger until fragrant; add the chopped bottom half of the green onions and sauté until softened.
  7. 7Add in the green beans and stir-fry for one minute.
  8. 8Add the beef and sauce; stir-fry until combined and sauce thickens.
  9. 9Add cooked rice to meal containers, top with beef and green bean mixture.
  10. 10Garnish with sesame seeds, sriracha, and the top half of the chopped green onions.

  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbs sesame oil
  • 2 tbs honey
  • 2 tbs rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbs cornstarch
  • 1 tbs minced garlic
  • 1 tbs minced ginger
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 green onion stalks, bottom half
  • 1 green onion stalks, top half
  • 1 sesame seeds
  • 1 sriracha
