Directions

  1. 1Unwrap the Tomahawk steak.
  2. 2Season the steak with pepper.
  3. 3Add salt to the pepper in the mortar.
  4. 4Mix the spices in the mortar.
  5. 5Rub the spice mixture onto the Tomahawk steak.
  6. 6Drizzle olive oil over the steak.
  7. 7Rub the olive oil into the steak.
  8. 8Heat a frying pan with oil.
  9. 9Sear the Tomahawk steak on all sides until browned.
  10. 10Transfer the seared steak to a baking dish.
  11. 11Add spicy sauce on top of the steak.
  12. 12Place bay leaves on the steak.
  13. 13Pour water into the baking dish.
  14. 14Cover the baking dish and place it in the oven to cook.
  15. 15Cut the tortillas in half.
  16. 16Fold each tortilla half into a cone shape.
  17. 17Secure the cone shape with a toothpick.

  19. 19Dice tomatoes.
  20. 20Chop cilantro.
  21. 21Squeeze lime juice into the mixture of diced onion, tomatoes, and cilantro.

  24. 24Mash avocados in a mortar and pestle to make guacamole.
  25. 25Add the prepared mixture of onion, tomatoes, and cilantro to the guacamole.

  28. 28Arrange the tortilla cones on the baking sheet.
  29. 29Spray the tortilla cones with cooking spray.
  30. 30Bake the tortilla cones in the oven until crispy and golden brown.
  31. 31Remove the toothpicks from the baked tortilla cones.
  32. 32Remove the steak from the oven.
  33. 33Baste the cooked steak with its juices.
