Directions

  1. 1In a stand mixer, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes until it looks foamy.
  2. 2Add flour and salt to the mixture.
  3. 3Mix on level 2 for no longer than 4 minutes with a stand mixer, or knead by hand for 10 minutes.
  4. 4If the dough is too runny, add a little more flour.
  5. 5Add melted butter and mix until combined.
  6. 6Place the dough in a greased glass bowl, cover and let it rise until doubled in size (about an hour).
  7. 7Punch down the dough and sprinkle flour on a flat surface.
  8. 8Roll out the dough into a flat rectangle.
  9. 9Roll up the dough tightly, like a burrito.
  10. 10Place the rolled dough into a loaf pan and let it rise for 45 minutes.
  11. 11Bake in a 350°F oven, covered, for 20 minutes. Remove the cover and bake for another 10 minutes at 400°F.
  12. 12Let cool completely before slicing.
