3Slice the cucumber into eighth of an inch thick slices.
4Transfer the slices onto paper towels in an even layer and sprinkle the tops with some coarse salt.
5Set aside the cucumber slices for about 20 minutes to draw out moisture.
6Combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, fresh chopped chives, fresh chopped dill, fresh lemon juice, garlic powder, and coarse salt to make the spread.
7Mix until all lumps are out of the spread.
8Remove the crusts from the soft white sandwich bread.
9Pat the rested cucumber slices dry.
10Spread the cream cheese mixture all the way to the edges of the bread slices.
11Place cucumber slices on top of the spread, overlapping them slightly.
12Add a little bit of pepper.
13Close the sandwiches.
