tiktok.com
Serves 1

Directions

  1. 1Prepare the sauce by mixing ground sugar, soy sauce, and mirin. If you don't have mirin, you can substitute with rice vinegar and extra sugar.
  2. 2Optional: add a little Sriracha to the sauce for spice.
  3. 3To a pan with some oil, add the spam, laying it flat.
  4. 4Cook the spam until it is nice and crispy and golden brown on all sides.
  5. 5Add the prepared sauce to the pan with the crispy spam.
  6. 6Allow the sugar in the sauce to caramelize around each piece of spam until it forms a thick glaze.
  7. 7Meanwhile, make the eggs to have a nice runny yolk, using a little water and a lid to help them steam.
  8. 8Assemble the bowl with rice, caramelized spam, and the runny-yolk eggs.
  9. 9Garnish with sesame seeds, green onion, and serve with seaweed on the side.
