Oreo Dirt Cake

Directions

  1. 1Add one box of chocolate cake mix, 1 cup of milk, 4 eggs, half cup of sour cream, a healthy splash of vanilla extract, half cup of melted butter and a nice size teaspoon of espresso powder into a large bowl.
  2. 2Mix well using a hand mixer.
  3. 3Pour the cake mix into a 9x13 pan.
  4. 4Bake the cake in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 30-45 minutes.
  5. 5Let the cake cool for 10 minutes.
  6. 6Poke big holes in the cake with the back of a wooden spoon.
  7. 7Pour homemade chocolate fudge sauce into each and every hole.
  8. 8Let the cake fully cool.
  9. 9In a measuring cup, pour 2 cups of cold milk and one pack of Jell-O instant chocolate pudding.
  10. 10Whisk the pudding mixture for about 2 minutes to incorporate.
  11. 11Pour the chocolate pudding mixture on top of the cake.
  12. 12Pop the cake in the fridge for 5 to 10 minutes to set.
  13. 13Crush a full pack of double-stuffed Oreo cookies and set aside.
  14. 14Pour 2 cups of cold milk and one more pack of Jell-O chocolate pudding into another measuring cup.
  15. 15Whisk and pop this pudding in the fridge to fully set for approximately 10 minutes.
  16. 16Pour 3 cups of heavy cream into a measuring cup and whisk until it gets thick.
  17. 17Add a quarter cup of icing sugar and mix some more.
  18. 18Fold the set chocolate pudding into the whipping cream for the cake topping.
  19. 19Spread the whipping cream and pudding mixture on top of the cake.
  20. 20Sprinkle the crushed Oreos on top of the cake.
  21. 21Serve and enjoy a big piece of this cake.

Tips
