Directions
1
Add the active dry yeast to the warm water and let it sit for a few minutes until foamy.
2
Add in the rest of the ingredients: melted butter, salt, sugar, egg, and flour.
3
Turn the mixer on and knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4
Place the dough in a greased bowl.
5
Flip the dough over in the bowl.
6
Cover the bowl and let the dough double in size for about 30 to 45 minutes for the first rise.
7
Punch down the dough.
8
Make dough balls, measuring about 55 grams each (makes about 35 rolls).
9
Smooth a pinch of dough to the middle, push it through your thumb and first finger until the top is smooth, then pinch the bottom to seal it shut.
10
Cover the formed rolls and let them have the second rise for about another 30 to 45 minutes.
11
Preheat oven to 350°F.
12
Bake for 22-25 minutes until golden brown and soft.

2 Tbsp active dry yeast
0.5 cup salted butter, melted
2 tsp salt
0.5 cup sugar
1 egg

Tips
If your house is cooler, the dough may need more time to rise.
If dough is not rising, check your yeast.
This recipe is worth it if you have a mixer.
