Mix all the ingredients together.

Add water in small increments, mixing well in the process.

Drop the dough onto your work surface and knead it for about 10 minutes.

Place the dough back in the bowl and cover it for at least half an hour.

Portion the dough into small pieces and roll them out, making sure they are not too thin or too thick.

Cut the sopapillas into your preferred size.

Place the sopapillas into a pan with hot oil.

Once golden brown on both sides, carefully take them out and place them onto a paper towel to drain.

Proceed with the rest of your dough in the same fashion.

2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 Teaspoon Salt
2 Tablespoons Baking powder
1 Tablespoon Powdered Milk
2 Tablespoons Lard
1 Cup warm to hot water

Tips
If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour until it doesn't stick to your hands.
