Honey Garlic Roast Chicken

Directions

  1. 1Clean the inside of the whole chicken and then wash it thoroughly with salt and lime.
  2. 2In a bowl, mix oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, ginger powder, sweet paprika, green seasoning, all-purpose seasoning, and softened butter to create the spice blend.
  3. 3Massage the mixed spice blend into the chicken, ensuring it is well-seasoned inside and out, including under the skin.
  4. 4Place the seasoned chicken upright on a roasting stand in a pan.
  5. 5Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and roast the chicken for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
  6. 6While the chicken is roasting, prepare the garlic sauce by combining garlic paste, ketchup, honey, vinegar, ginger paste, and chicken stock in a bowl.
  7. 7Whisk the garlic sauce ingredients together until well combined.
  8. 8Melt butter in a pot on low heat and then add the garlic sauce mixture.
  9. 9Allow the garlic sauce to simmer for 15 minutes on low heat until it reaches the desired consistency.
  10. 10After 1 hour and 40 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven.
  11. 11Glaze the roasted chicken with the prepared garlic sauce using a basting brush.
  12. 12Return the glazed chicken to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to set the glaze.
  13. 13Once finished, remove the chicken from the oven and it's ready to be served.
  14. 14Cut a wing off the chicken to demonstrate its tenderness and juiciness.
