Skillet Apple Pie

Directions

  1. 1Set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. 2Peel five Granny Smith apples.
  3. 3Core the apples.
  4. 4Cut the apples into thin slices.
  5. 5Put the apple slices in a big bowl.
  6. 6Sprinkle one tablespoon of flour over the apple slices.
  7. 7Toss the apple slices to coat them evenly with flour.
  8. 8Add another tablespoon of flour and toss again.
  9. 9Get a skillet and place a stick of butter in it.
  10. 10Put the skillet in the oven until the butter melts.
  11. 11Once the butter is melted, sprinkle one cup of brown sugar over the melted butter in the skillet.
  12. 12Stick the skillet back in the oven for about 5 minutes until the brown sugar melts down.
  13. 13Take one premade pie crust directly out of the fridge and gently place it on top of the brown sugar and butter in the skillet.
  14. 14Take half of your apples and spread them out evenly on the crust.
  15. 15Sprinkle the apples with about a fourth of a cup of sugar.
  16. 16Add a teaspoon of cinnamon.
  17. 17Cover with your second pie crust and gently press the edges into the pan.
  18. 18Sprinkle the rest of the apples on top of the second crust.
  19. 19Sprinkle a fourth of a cup of sugar on top.
  20. 20Add another teaspoon of cinnamon.
  21. 21Add your final pie crust and gently press the edges into the pan.
  22. 22Sprinkle a fourth of a cup more sugar on top.
  23. 23Break up a tablespoon of butter and put little pieces all over the top of the pie.
  24. 24Take a sharp knife and cut four slits into your pie crust.
  25. 25Stick the pie in the oven on the middle rack and allow it to bake for about 40 to 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  26. 26Once cooked, take the pie out of the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
