Walnut Paneer Steak

Directions

  1. 1Chop the walnuts.
  2. 2Add the chopped walnuts to a large bowl with the potatoes, onion, ginger, garlic, and green chillies.
  3. 3Add the chaat masala, pepper, salt, and red chilli powder and mix well.
  4. 4Cut the paneer from the middle and press the potato mixture on it.
  5. 5Cook on a hot pan with oil till golden brown on both sides for about 3-4 minutes and keep aside.
  6. 6Blitz the ginger, garlic, green chilli, coriander leaves, spinach and milk together to a smooth paste.
  7. 7Heat butter in a pan.
  8. 8Add in the spinach paste and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  9. 9Add sugar, salt, garam masala, cream and mix till the sauce thickens.
  10. 10Add it to a plate along with the paneer.
  11. 11Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and more chopped walnuts.

  • 8 10 garlic cloves
  • 2 green chillies
  • 0.5 cup coriander leaves
  • 1 bundle spinach, blanched
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • to taste salt
  • 0.25 tsp garam masala
  • 2 3 tbsp cream

Tips

  • Use California walnuts for added crunch and omega-3s.
  • Cook the paneer slab for about 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
