Butter Chicken

Directions

  1. 1Cube the chicken breast.
  2. 2Add Greek yogurt to the chicken.
  3. 3Add minced garlic to the chicken.
  4. 4Add minced ginger to the chicken.
  5. 5Add a touch of olive oil to the chicken.
  6. 6Add garam masala to the chicken.
  7. 7Add turmeric to the chicken.
  8. 8Add chili powder to the chicken for a spicy kick.
  9. 9Add paprika for color.
  10. 10Add salt and pepper to the chicken.
  11. 11Mix all the ingredients well with the chicken.
  12. 12Let the chicken marinate for 15 minutes.
  13. 13Cook the marinated chicken on a hot pan for 5 to 6 minutes.
  14. 14Remove the cooked chicken from the pan.
  15. 15Add a little butter to the pan.
  16. 16Add chopped onions to the pan.
  17. 17Add garlic and ginger to the pan.
  18. 18Cook until the onions are soft.
  19. 19Add tomato paste and cook for a minute.
  20. 20Add crushed tomatoes and the same spices used for the chicken.
  21. 21Let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes.
  22. 22Add the sauce to a blender.
  23. 23Add Greek yogurt to the blender.
  24. 24Add honey to the blender.
  25. 25Blend until the sauce is smooth.
  26. 26Pour the blended sauce back into the pan.
  27. 27Add the cooked chicken to the sauce.
  28. 28Finish with cilantro.
  29. 29Finish with yogurt or coconut milk.

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1.5 cup crushed tomatoes (from a can)
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 0.5 tsp turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp pepper
  • 0.33 cup fat free greek yogurt
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 0.5 cup any milk or water (to thin out sauce)
