Directions

  1. 1Mix all the dry ingredients, including all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  2. 2Add cold UHT milk in stages two to three times while stirring until the dough is evenly mixed.
  3. 3When it is half kneaded, add cooking oil and stir again.
  4. 4Continue to knead the dough with your hands until the dough texture is really smooth.
  5. 5Cover and let the dough rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  6. 6After 30 minutes, the dough will expand. Grease your palms with cooking oil so it doesn't stick.
  7. 7Fold and press the dough. Repeat fold-press dough three to four times. Then wrap the dough.
  8. 8Leave in the refrigerator overnight or at room temperature for a minimum of 4 hours.
  9. 9Remove the dough from the refrigerator 2 hours before use so that it reaches room temperature.
  10. 10Press and roll the dough to form a rectangle.
  11. 11Cut the dough into smaller rectangles, approximately 10 cm.
  12. 12Stack two pieces of dough, press the middle with a skewer. Previously, the skewer had been dipped in water first so it didn't stick to the dough.
  13. 13The cakwe dough that has been printed is ready to be fried in hot oil.
  14. 14When frying, don't forget to flip it often so that it is cooked and the brown color is even.
  15. 15Once golden brown, remove and serve.
