  2. 2Caramelize the sugar by turning the heat to about medium-high and mixing it until it turns a golden amber color.
  3. 3Pour the caramelized sugar into a 9-8 inch pan and carefully tilt it around to get the caramel all the way around.
  4. 4Set aside the pan with caramel.
  5. 5Add 4 whole large eggs into a blender.
  6. 6Add 1 can of sweetened condensed milk into the blender.
  7. 7Add 1 can of evaporated milk into the blender.
  8. 8Add an 8-ounce block of softened cream cheese into the blender.
  9. 9Add about a tablespoon of vanilla into the blender.
  10. 10Blend the mixture until it's smooth and creamy.
  11. 11Pour the blended mixture over the caramel in the pan, using a strainer.
  12. 12Cover the pan with foil.
  13. 13Place the covered pan in a baking pan.
  14. 14Bake it for 1 hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  15. 15Once finished baking, let it cool completely, then stick it in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  16. 16After it has set up and chilled, run a knife around the edges of your flan.
  17. 17Put a plate on top of it and flip it over.
  18. 18Give it a few taps to help release the flan.
