PHILLY CHEESESTEAK BURRITOS

Directions

  1. 1Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and spray with cooking spray.
  2. 2Cook ground beef, diced onion, and diced bell peppers in the pan, seasoning with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika, breaking up the ground beef as it cooks.
  3. 3Add two tablespoons of minced garlic just before the ground beef is done.
  4. 4When the ground beef is done, turn the pan down to low.
  5. 5Add one block of reduced-fat cream cheese and two cups of part-skim mozzarella cheese to the pan.
  6. 6Mix until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
  7. 7Turn off the heat and let the beef mixture cool for about 5 to 10 minutes.
  8. 8Evenly distribute the cooled beef mixture amongst nine tortillas.
  9. 9To wrap the burritos, get everything in a line at the top, fold the sides in, cover over, tuck down, and roll, sealing both sides.
  10. 10Optionally, toast the burritos in a pan on both sides until golden.

  • 1 Medium Yellow Onion
  • 3 Bell Peppers
  • 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 8 oz Reduced-Fat Cream Cheese
  • 2 Cups Reduced-Fat Mozzarella Cheese
  • 9 Mission Carb Balance Burrito Tortillas
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1.5 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika

Tips

  • Let the beef mixture cool for about 5 to 10 minutes to make rolling burritos easier.
  • Optionally, toast the burritos in a pan for 1-2 minutes per side until golden.
