Directions
1
Add a bit of oil to the rice cooker pot and “saute” the beef and onions.
2
Once the beef is cooked, remove and set aside.
3
Clean out the pot.
4
Add the dashi, soy sauce, mirin, and sesame oil. Hit cook.
5
Once the soup is boiling, add the curry roux.
6
Add the udon to the curry soup alone with the sautéed beef and onions. Place the lid back on top and cook per udon instructions.
7
Adjust seasonings to taste! Enjoy!
Ingredients
1 cup dashi broth
1 serving udon noodles
3 oz thinly sliced beef
0.25 small onion, thinly sliced
2 tsp soy sauce
0.5 tbsp mirin
1 tsp sesame oil
1 curry roux cubes
Oil
Equipment
rice cooker
strainer
Tips
Chopping the roux into smaller pieces and using a strainer helps dissolve the roux easier.
Feel free to toss the onions and beef in all together with the curry udon and skip the sautéing step.
