Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

Directions

  1. 1Season your chicken with a little onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. 2Add chicken to a hot pot with oil and cook until you get a nice sear.
  3. 3Continue cooking the chicken all the way through, then set aside to rest.
  4. 4Add celery, onions, and carrots to the pot and cook until softened.
  5. 5Add in some minced garlic and fresh thyme and rosemary.
  6. 6Sweat out the vegetables and make sure to scrape the bottom of the pan to get all the flavor up.
  7. 7Add cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soup into the pot.
  8. 8Mix Better Than Bouillon chicken base with warm water to create chicken broth and add it into the pot.
  9. 9Add diced potatoes to the pot.
  10. 10Season the soup with a little more of the earlier seasonings.
  11. 11Add egg noodles to the pot.
  12. 12Bring the soup to a simmer and let the noodles cook.
  13. 13Add the cooked chicken back into the pot.
  14. 14Hit that with some fresh parsley.
  15. 15Give the soup a good mix.

  • 2 lb chicken breast
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 3 medium medium carrots chopped
  • 3 stalks celery stalks chopped
  • 0.5 medium medium onion diced
  • 1 medium medium potato diced
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste or minced garlic
  • 1 sprigs thyme sprigs chopped
  • 1 sprigs rosemary sprigs chopped
  • 10 oz can cream of chicken soup
  • 10 oz can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp salt
  • Egg noodles
  • Parsley
