Add 2 pounds of lean ground beef to a mixing bowl.
Add 1 cup of plain unseasoned breadcrumbs.
Add half a diced white onion.
Add half a cup of milk.
Add 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce.
Add 1 egg.
Add 1 teaspoon of dried basil.
Add 1 teaspoon of dried oregano.
Add 1 teaspoon of salt.
Add half a teaspoon of black pepper.
Add half a teaspoon of red pepper flakes.
Mix all the ingredients with clean hands until evenly distributed.
Transfer the mixture to a lightly greased 9x13 pan and shape it into a free-form loaf.
Wash your hands.
Pop the meatloaf into a 350-degree Fahrenheit oven for 45 minutes.
While the meatloaf bakes, prepare the glaze by combining half a cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce in a bowl.
After 45 minutes, take the meatloaf out of the oven.
Drizzle the glaze over the meatloaf.
Use the back of a spoon to spread the glaze evenly over the top and sides of the meatloaf.
Return the meatloaf to the oven.
Increase the oven heat to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Bake for another 15 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize on top.
Remove the meatloaf from the oven.
Transfer the meatloaf to a platter for serving.

Tips
Using your hands works really good because then you can get in there and really break up the meat and make sure everything gets evenly distributed.
Allowing the grease a chance to escape by using a 9x13 pan instead of a loaf pan gives a better overall result and allows room to breathe.
