Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F and spray an 11x7 or 9x13 baking dish.
  2. 2Press crescent dough into the bottom of the dish.
  3. 3Bake the dough for 5–6 minutes until slightly puffed, then remove from oven.
  4. 4Spread a thin layer of refried beans over the crust.
  5. 5Brown ground beef in a skillet until no pink remains, drain grease, then add taco seasoning and water from the packet and simmer until thick.
  6. 6Let meat cool for 2–3 minutes, then spoon over the refried beans layer.
  7. 7Add salsa and sour cream into the dish and gently stir into the beef layer without disturbing the crust.
  8. 8Sprinkle crushed tortilla chips over the top and cover evenly with shredded cheese.
  9. 9Bake for 18–22 minutes until cheese is bubbly and edges are golden.
  10. 10Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.

  • 1 can crescent roll dough sheet
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 taco seasoning packet
  • to package instructions water
  • 1/2–1 cup refried beans
  • 3/4 cup chunky salsa
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mexican blend or cheddar cheese
  • 1 handful thick tortilla chips
