Put a bag of frozen shredded hash browns into your crockpot.

Add a 16 oz container of sour cream, a can of mushroom soup, and a half stick of melted butter to the crockpot.

Add a couple cups of shredded cheese (e.g., Colby Jack).

Stir the mixture thoroughly.

Add a packet of French onion soup.

Cook a pound of ground beef separately.

Add the cooked ground beef to the crockpot and mix well.

Season the mixture with garlic powder and pepper, then stir again.

Flatten the mixture in the crockpot.

Top the casserole with french fried onions.

Tips
You can use cubed hash browns instead of shredded.
The stirring part takes the longest.
You can add the french fried onions at the end to keep them crispy.
