Chili Oil Butter Bucatini Pasta

Directions

  1. 1Boil pasta for 1 minute less than the recommended cook time.
  2. 2In a pan, add olive oil and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
  3. 3Add 1 tablespoon of chili oil and butter to the pan. Stir.
  4. 4Add heavy whipping cream, salt, and lime juice to the pan.
  5. 5Add Parmesan cheese and let the sauce thicken for 1-2 minutes.
  6. 6Add the boiled pasta, more Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, and pasta water to the sauce.
  7. 7Add 1 tablespoon of chili oil.
  8. 8Let the sauce and pasta come together and mix well.
  9. 9Garnish with parsley, Parmesan cheese, and a drizzle of chili oil.

  • 200 g dry pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon chili oil / chili crisp
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup lime juice
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 cup pasta water
  • 0.25 cup fresh chopped parsley
  • chilly oil to drizzle as garnish

Tips

  • Boil pasta 1 minute less than cook time, as it will cook longer in the sauce.
  • The color of the pasta will become darker; it's not necessary to add more chili oil. You can always add more as needed if you want it spicier.
