Add 1/2 cup of dried chili flakes to a bowl.

Add 1/2 cup of gochugaru to the bowl.

Add 1 1/2 tbsp of sesame seeds to the bowl.

Add 1 1/2 tbsp of sugar to the bowl.

Add 1/2 tsp of salt to the bowl.

Add 2 tbsp of minced garlic to the bowl.

Add 1 tbsp of minced ginger to the bowl.

Heat 2 cups of oil on medium heat for 2 minutes, then pour the hot oil over the spices in the bowl.

Add 2 tbsp of soy sauce to the mixture.

Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

Let it cool completely.

Transfer the chili oil to a clean, sterilized jar.

Close the jar with a lid.

Tips
Store in a cool, dark place or refrigerator to extend its shelf life.
Drizzle chili oil over your favorite foods.
Be careful not to let the oil smoke or burn when heating.
