  1. 1In a medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, and yellow mustard.
  2. 2Stir in the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  3. 3Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  4. 4Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency.
  5. 5If the sauce is too thick, add water a tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
  6. 6Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Add more salt, pepper, or cayenne pepper to taste.
  7. 7Remove the sauce from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  8. 8Transfer the sauce to a jar or airtight container and refrigerate.
