In a medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, and yellow mustard.

Stir in the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally.

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency.

If the sauce is too thick, add water a tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.

Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Add more salt, pepper, or cayenne pepper to taste.

Remove the sauce from heat and let it cool to room temperature.

Transfer the sauce to a jar or airtight container and refrigerate.
