Bakery-Style Donuts

Directions

  1. 1Add three tablespoons of sugar to a bowl.
  2. 2Next, add 10 grams of dry yeast.
  3. 3Then, add one cup (240 milliliters) of warm milk.
  4. 4Mix everything very well to hydrate the yeast.
  5. 5Add one tablespoon of vanilla extract, 2 eggs, and three tablespoons of melted butter.
  6. 6Mix the ingredients together.
  7. 7Now, add three and a half cups of wheat flour, little by little, and mix.
  8. 8Knead this dough in the bowl for 10 minutes until it reaches a soft and fluffy consistency.
  9. 9Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes until it has doubled in size.
  10. 10After the dough has doubled in size, remove the air from the dough and transfer it to a work surface.
  11. 11Add a little wheat flour to the work surface before placing the dough to prevent sticking.
  12. 12Roll out the dough to the thickness of a finger, making sure it is not too thick or too thin.
  13. 13Using a 9-centimeter diameter dough cutter, cut out the donut shapes.
  14. 14Using a piping bag, remove the center part of each donut.
  15. 15Let the cut dough rest for 10 minutes on a floured surface to prevent sticking.
  16. 16Fry the donut balls in hot oil.
  17. 17After frying one side, turn them over to fry the other side until golden and wonderful.
  18. 18Remove the fried donuts and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  19. 19Roll all the donuts in sugar.
  20. 20Serve the bakery-style donuts.
