Pork Chops in Gravy

Directions

  1. 1Grab your pork chops and season them with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. 2Season some flour with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. 3Take the seasoned pork chops and dredge them in the seasoned flour, making sure to shake off all the extra flour.
  4. 4Heat up some butter and olive oil in a large pan.
  5. 5Place the floured pork chops into the hot pan.
  6. 6Brown the pork chops on both sides and keep them in the pan until they are cooked all the way through.
  7. 7Take the cooked pork chops out of the pan and set them aside.
  8. 8Add about two tablespoons of flour to the pan with the drippings.
  9. 9Whisk the flour into the pan drippings and cook for about two minutes.
  10. 10Add about a quarter cup of chicken broth to the pan and whisk it in until there are no more clumps.
  11. 11Add a little bit over half a cup of cream to the gravy and whisk it in.
  12. 12Add a little bit of browning sauce if you want to adjust the color of the gravy (optional).
  13. 13Whisk the browning sauce in and season the gravy with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
  14. 14Pour the gravy over the cooked pork chops and serve.
