Directions

  1. 1Boil eggs for exactly 7 minutes.
  2. 2Transfer eggs to an ice bath.
  3. 3Crack the shell with a spoon and peel.
  4. 4Combine green onion, garlic, thai red chili, jalapeno, soy sauce, honey, roasted sesame seeds, sesame oil, and dashi stock in a glass container.
  5. 5Add peeled eggs to the marinade.
  6. 6Let the eggs rest in the marinade for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Ingredients

  • 10 egg
  • 3 whole green onion, chopped
  • 6 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 whole thai red chili, chopped
  • 2 whole jalapeno, chopped
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds, roasted
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup dashi stock

Tips

  • The Thai red chili is optional.
  • The green onion is optional.
  • The sesame oil is optional.
  • Water can be used as a substitute for dashi stock.
  • Use a pointy spoon to make cracks along the top for easier peeling.
