Serves 4

Directions

  13. 13Tagliamoli a pezzetti, lasciandone qualcuno intero.

Tips

  • You can use thawed Argentinian prawns or mazzancolle, but make sure they are not too small or not fleshy enough.
  • Be careful not to overcook the prawns, otherwise they will lose their flavor and become stringy.
  • When crushing garlic, always remove the central germ; it's the most indigestible part (the so-called soul).
  • Choose a pasta shape suitable for wrapping all the creamy sauce, such as strozzapreti, trofie, penne rigate, or farfalle.
  • Drain the pasta al dente, about 2 minutes before the recommended cooking time, directly into the pan with the sauce.
  • Stir and mix continuously until the water dries up, forming a cream.
  • Add basil broken with your hands and a grinding of pepper at the end for flavor.
  • The total cooking time for the prawns should be a maximum of 2-3 minutes, depending on their size.
  • When grating the zucchini, hold them by the stem end.
  • Transfer cooked prawns to a plate, chop them, leaving some whole, cover with plastic wrap, and set aside.
  • After adding the fresh spreadable cheese, let it melt over low heat, stirring with a spoon.
  • When the water boils, season it with a pinch of coarse salt before cooking the pasta.
  • When sauce pan is hot, add two ladles of cooking water to the sauce before adding pasta.
  • Add the prawns a few minutes before finishing the creaming process.
  • Mix everything well, continue cooking for a few more moments, and turn off the heat.
  • Add a little basil broken with your hands and a grinding of pepper.
  • The dish is creamy, delicious, savory, and fragrant, perfect as a first course for fish-based menus.
  • The strozzapreti pasta shape helps to hold the flavorful sauce.
  • The recipe is very easy to prepare and will make your mouth water at first sight.
  • The zucchini are enhanced by the creaminess of the fresh spreadable cheese, the plumpness of the prawns, and the scent of basil.
  • The dish is described as creamy, delicious, savory, and fragrant, suggesting a delightful culinary experience.
  • The use of strozzapreti is highlighted for its ability to hold the sauce effectively.
  • The recipe is emphasized as very easy to prepare and appetizing.
  • The flavor profile is described with the combination of zucchini, creamy cheese, prawns, and basil aroma.
  • The dish is recommended as a perfect first course for fish-based menus.
