Directions

  1. 1Soak your soya chunks in hot water.
  2. 2Puree your tomatoes and keep them aside.
  3. 3Squeeze out the excess water from the softened soya chunks.
  4. 4Add onions, bell peppers, yogurt, and a bunch of masalas (as mentioned in the caption) to the soya chunks.
  5. 5Pour in some mustard oil and fry this mixture along with some roasted besan for around 5 to 7 minutes.
  6. 6Take the fried mixture off the pan.
  7. 7In the same pan, heat some more oil and add some cumin seeds, bay leaves and onions.
  8. 8Fry them really well.
  9. 9Add in your tomato puree.
  10. 10Once this leaves oil on sides, add in your hot water along with the soya chunks.
  11. 11Garnish it with some kasuri methi and coriander leaves.

  • 2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 0.5 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil

  • 2 tbsp roasted besan
  • 0.5 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 bayleaves
  • 2 small onions, finely chopped
  • 1 large tomato, pureed
  • 0.5 tsp red chilli powder
  • 0.5 tsp coriander powder
  • Kasuri methi
  • coriander leaves
