Crispy Chilli Beef

Directions

  1. 1Slice the sirloin steak thinly against the grain.
  2. 2Place the sliced steak in a bowl, add an egg, 3-4 tbsp of cornflour, and stir well to coat.
  3. 3Shake off excess flour and place the steak in an air fryer at 210c for 10 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  4. 4Stir-fry sliced onion, green pepper, and garlic paste for a couple of minutes.
  5. 5Add tomato ketchup, sweet chilli sauce, soy sauce, and rice wine vinegar to the pan.
  6. 6Cook for a couple of minutes until reduced and sticky, add sugar to taste.
  7. 7Add the crispy beef to the pan and toss well to glaze.
  8. 8Scatter sliced fresh chillies on top.

  • 50 ml tomato ketchup
  • 50 ml sweet chilli sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 30 g sugar
  • 2 fresh chillies
