Grab a 6 to 8 pound pork butt and drop it on your cutting board.
Using a fork or a knife or anything sharp, start poking holes in the pork butt.
Alternatively, if you don't want to poke holes, get a sharp knife and cut a diamond-shaped crosshatch pattern on the top of the pork.
Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of liquid smoke and rub it in real nice, making sure to get both sides.
Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of sea salt (bonus points if it's red Hawaiian sea salt), massage it in well, and give it a spanking.
Pick up the pork butt and drop it into your crock pot, fat side up.
Put the lid on and set your slow cooker to low for 15 to 20 hours.
When you're ready to serve, take the lid off.
Grab two forks and carefully pick up the pig.
Shred the pork and drop it back into the juices in the crock pot.
Once shredded and soaked in its own juices, serve it however you want, like in a Hawaiian roll with coleslaw, a tortilla for tacos, or directly from the slow cooker.
