Directions

  1. 1Boil soya chunks in water with salt, drain, and squeeze out excess water.
  2. 2In a bowl, mix boiled soya chunks with bell pepper, onion, tomato, yogurt, chickpea flour, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, black pepper, chaat masala, salt, hot mustard oil, dried fenugreek leaves, and lime juice.
  3. 3Set the mixture aside.
  4. 4In a pan over medium heat, add 1 tsp oil, add the marinated soya mixture, and cook for 5 minutes until roasted. Remove and set aside.
  5. 5In the same pan, add 1 tsp oil, cumin seeds, finely chopped onion, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, salt, and tomato puree.
  6. 6Cook for 3 minutes or until oil separates.
  7. 7Add the cooked soya mixture, water, and fresh coriander.
  8. 8Mix and cook for 1 minute before serving.

  • 60 g soya chunks
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 whole green bell pepper, roughly chopped
  • 1 whole onion, roughly chopped
  • 1 whole tomato, roughly chopped
  • 4 tbsp yogurt
  • 2 tbsp chickpea flour (besan)
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp hot mustard oil
  • 1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves
  • 1/2 whole lime
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 whole onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 150 ml water
  • 1 handful fresh coriander
