KFC Popcorn Chicken & Fries

Directions

  1. 1In a bowl, add plain flour, baking powder, salt, mustard powder, thyme, basil, black pepper, celery salt, white pepper, garlic powder, ginger powder, smoked paprika, and oregano.
  2. 2Mix all the dry ingredients together.
  3. 3Take diced chicken breast and mix in one whisked egg.
  4. 4Coat each piece of chicken evenly in the flour mixture.
  5. 5Lay the coated chicken pieces on baking paper on a baking tray.
  6. 6Spray the chicken with light cooking oil.
  7. 7Air fry at 200°C/400°F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway, or oven bake at 190°C/375°F for 18-22 minutes.
  8. 8Cut the potatoes into french fry shapes.
  9. 9Soak the cut potatoes in an ice bath for 10 minutes to remove extra starch.
  10. 10Pat the potatoes completely dry with paper towels.
  11. 11Spray the dried potatoes with light cooking oil.
  12. 12Add half of the seasoning mix (salt, chicken stock powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder) to the potatoes.
  13. 13Mix the seasoning well with the potatoes.
  14. 14Air fry at 200°C/400°F for 20-25 minutes, shaking halfway, or oven bake at 200°C/400°F for 25-35 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden brown.
  15. 15Once cooked, sprinkle the rest of the seasoning onto the fries and mix.
  16. 16Pair the crispy fries with the delicious popcorn chicken and serve.

  • 1 Tsp Chicken Stock Powder
  • 0.5 Tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 0.5 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 0.5 Tsp Onion Powder

Tips
