Barbecue Pork

Directions

  1. 1Prepare the pork butt by slicing it about an inch and a half in thickness.
  2. 2Place the sliced pork in a bowl.
  3. 3Add dark soy sauce, soy sauce, a pinch of salt, cooking wine, oyster sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and pepper to the pork.
  4. 4Add Chinese five spice, a lot of sugar, and chicken bouillon to the pork.
  5. 5Optionally, add a little red food coloring for a traditional red color.
  6. 6Mix all ingredients with the pork, ensuring it's well coated.
  7. 7Taste test the marinade and adjust as needed.
  8. 8Marinate the pork for at least one hour; at a restaurant, it's marinated overnight.
  9. 9Lay the marinated pork on an air fryer rack.
  10. 10Place the rack into the air fryer.
  11. 11Cook in the air fryer for about 10 minutes.
  12. 12After 10 minutes, take the pork out and flip it over to ensure even cooking and prevent burning.
  13. 13Return the pork to the air fryer for another 10 minutes.
  14. 14After another 10 minutes, pull it out again and flip it.
  15. 15Serve the barbecue pork, optionally with cucumber slices.
