Christmas Cookies
Directions
- 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2In a large bowl, mix the softened margarine and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- 3Add the egg and vanilla and continue mixing for about 1 minute.
- 4Sift in the cake flour, cornstarch, and baking powder, then gently fold just until combined and no visible flour remains.
- 5Scoop the dough into 1/4 cup portions and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- 6Bake for 10 minutes.
- 7Combine all frosting ingredients in a bowl and mix until light and fluffy.
- 8If desired, add food coloring once the frosting comes together.
- 9Spread frosting over cooled cookies.
- 10Finish with sprinkles.
