Directions

  1. 1Grate the red onion and add to a bowl.
  2. 2Finely chop the fresh parsley and mint and add to the same bowl.
  3. 3Add the egg, breadcrumbs, beef mince and seasoning along to the bowl and mix until well combined.
  4. 4Take about a tablespoon of the mixture and flatten.
  5. 5Smooth the edges using the palm of your hand to form a flat burger shape. Repeat this with the remaining mince meat.
  6. 6Over a high heat, add the olive oil to a frying pan.
  7. 7After 2 minutes, or until it’s heated up, carefully place the burgers.
  8. 8Cook for 3-4 minutes on both sides until crispy and golden.
  9. 9Once cooked, place on a plate lined with kitchen roll to drain the excess oil.

  • 30 g fresh parsley, chopped
  • 30 g fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 medium egg
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • 500 g beef mince (20% fat)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Olive oil for shallow frying

Tips

  • Test if the oil is heated by poking a wooden spoon in the oil and seeing if it fizzes up around it.
